Meet Felicia

Licensed Professional Counselor & Founder

Hi, I'm Felicia.

I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor, wife, mom, and the founder of The Marriage Collaborative.

I created this space because I'm passionate about helping couples understand each other more deeply, communicate more honestly, and become more intentional about the relationship they're building together.

My approach combines clinical knowledge with honest conversation, practical tools, compassion, and a whole lot of grace. I don't believe you have to wait until your marriage is falling apart to start taking care of it.

But the heart behind this work is more than professional for me.

It's personal.

Our story is part of my why.

My husband and I have walked through some really hard seasons in our own marriage.

There were times when we loved each other deeply but weren't doing a very good job of loving each other well. Hurt, resentment, stress, and the weight of life had gotten louder than the connection between us. Eventually, we reached a place where we knew what we were doing wasn't enough.

We needed a miracle, so we turned to God.

We knew He was the only One capable of the kind of healing our marriage needed. We didn't stumble into faith and hope things would somehow get better. We made an intentional choice to seek Him, individually and together, and God met us there. He didn't wave a hand over our marriage and suddenly make us perfect. He did something much deeper.

He changed us.

He taught us about grace and forgiveness. About humility, accountability, sacrifice, and what it really means to choose one another. He began showing us how to listen differently, how to recognize the hurt underneath the argument, how to repair after we've hurt one another, and how to remember that the person sitting across from us is not the enemy. God gave us a new foundation to build on.

Our marriage today isn't strong because we mastered some formula. We still disagree. We still misunderstand each other. We're still two very different humans sharing a home, raising a family, navigating life, and occasionally having conversations that probably could've gone better.

Our marriage is different because God redeemed something we couldn't fix on our own. He saved our marriage.

My job isn't to make your marriage look like mine. It's to help the two of you understand one another and intentionally build the marriage you want to have.

The Heart Behind The Marriage Collaborative

As a Licensed Professional Counselor, I understand relationships through the lens of clinical training, evidence-informed practice, attachment, communication, family systems, and the patterns we develop over a lifetime.

But I also understand marriage from inside one.

I know how two people can genuinely love each other and still get stuck. How easy it is to have the same argument in seventeen different forms. How sometimes what's happening on the surface isn't really what the fight is about at all.

And I know the incredible difference it can make when couples begin to understand themselves, understand one another, and intentionally change the way they show up in their relationship.

That's why I created The Marriage Collaborative.

I wanted to create a space where couples don't have to wait until their marriage is hanging on by a thread before they're allowed to invest in it. A place to prepare, understand, reconnect, repair, and grow.

My Christian faith is inseparable from who I am and from the story behind this work. For couples who want faith intentionally incorporated into our work together, I would be honored to make that part of the process.

And if faith isn't part of your story, you still have a place here. You don't have to believe what I believe to be treated with compassion, dignity, and respect.
